The modern marketer has something no other marketer has had in the past; a search engine with all the world’s knowledge, sitting in their pants!

And yet – having the answers to all our questions isn’t leading to fool-proof decisions, in fact, all the information is making it harder to be strategically effective. If there was a surefire way to shoot to the top, like hiring a psychic, then everyone would jump on and the top wouldn’t be the top anymore, just a new middle.


True success isn’t having all the answers, it’s maintaining a monopoly over a continuous state of “what if?” In many ways, speculation is the bedrock of our financial institutions, not anything solid; just a firm commitment to an ideal with exchangeable tender.


Hopefully, as more interesting ways to value invisible things, such as NFTs, become more common place, we’ll place these economic curios in the proper buckets, rather than directly into our stock portfolios.
